Gene Therapy Shows Promise for Immune Disorder
Nine years after treatment gene therapy has kept a rare immune disorder in check, report two new studies in a small group of children. The promising findings support the use of gene therapy treatment in children with a deficiency in the ADA gene, a rare inherited disorder that damages the immune system and causes severe combined immunodeficiency or SCID.

Eureka Moments: the Golden Age of Genetics
As part of the Biochemical Society's Centenary celebrations, a number of the Society's Honorary members have been asked to talk about the important moments in their careers and the future of the discipline. The fourth interview released is 'Eureka Moments: the Golden Age of Genetics' in which Professor Alec Jeffreys talks to Professor John Armour about his 'Eureka Moment'. You can also take a behind the scenes look at their production on the Society's Flickr photostream http://www.flickr.com

Proof Of Ancient Genetic Engineering
Lloyd Pye Lecture - Man is divided into three main categories throughout the world: Caucasian, Mongoloid, and Negro. It is interesting to note that the great apes are also broadly divided into three main groups: the gorilla, the chimpanzee, and the orangutan. Both the Negro and the gorilla have skin that is black in color

Nu Skin is taking the science of anti-aging to a completely new level by studying the genetic origins of how and why we age. Developed by Nu Skin in collaboration with leading scientists, ageLOC science is based on the discovery of internal sources of aging that contribute to an aging appearance, what Nu Skin calls age-related super markers, or arSuperMarkers. Nu Skin's exclusive ageLOC science targets these arSuperMarkers—the ultimate sources of aging that can influence how we age

HeyRuka- Genetics vs. Eugenics, pt 1
Expand me! HeyRuka's video: http://www.youtube.com When you compare Eugenicist mantra about "race" to what Biology actually says, you come to a much different picture, one that illumates why most Biologists and Biochemists haven't endorsed Eugenics since the early 1900's, with the exception of only a few notable examples of brilliant minds going crazy in their older age. Biologists and Biochemists turn to the field of Genetics and its sub-branches to answer questions of ancestry and evolution, especially at the molecular level. Nature only reflects what you think it does when you squint your eyes hard at things taken out of context.
