Iowa State University Spring Commencement Ceremony, May 5, 2012
Craig Lang of Brooklyn, an Iowa State alumnus and recently re-elected president of the Iowa Board of Regents, speaks at the undergraduate ceremony, with President Steven Leath presiding. An estimated 3079 undergraduates received bachelor #39;s degrees. Daniel Gianola received a Doctor of Science honorary degree for his contributions to animal genetics and statistics, and George Belitsos received a Doctor of Humane Letters for his advocacy for, and service to, Iowa teens and families. The ceremony was held May 5, 2012 in Hilton Coliseum.
