TE MANIA ANGUS, CONWAY RIVER, MARLBOROUGH -- PART ONE When you profile one of New Zealand #39;s largest Angus stud #39;s who are #39;Breeding Better Beef #39; it takes two episodes to enjoy the story of how they are providing from conception to consumption of Angus Beef. In Part One we learn the history of Te Mania Angus from the current owner, Tim Wilding #39;s grandfather, Edwin Wilding, learn about the benefits of calving two-year olds as the stud celebrates 50 years of this breeding practice in 2012 and we are at the bull sale in June, famous for its exceptional averages and even more exceptional hospitality. Tony Glynn, of RuralTV.co.nz, meets with Tim #39;s father Frank Wilding, stud master John Harrington, former manager of Pfizer animal genetics, Sarah Adams, legendary stud stock agent, Kevin Ryan and we head to Kelly Land Company near Taihape and see how the Te Mania bulls are fitting into their large station operation. Next week we are back with Part Two where we learn how Tim and his team are serious about pasture to plate as well as premiums for the producer.
