THE LECTURE, TITLED "HUMAN SECURITY AT THE BORDERLANDS: WHY SHOULD IT MATTER?" WILL BE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. SENIOR ADVISER TO THE UNITED NATIONS SECRETARY-GENERAL ON MIGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT FRANCOIS FOUINAT, IS EXPECTED TO ADDRESS THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGAGING IN ALTERNATIVE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT SECURITY POLICY THAT CENTER ON CITIZENS #39; WELL-BEING, AND ON HUMANIZING BORDERS BEYOND MILITARIZATION AND SURVEILLANCE.
