Can we see beyond a student #39;s test grades. Why do we have to conform to cookie-cutter uniformity? Behshid (a student in grade 10) wonders what the educational world would be like if one size does not fit all. The theme for TEDxWinchesterTeachers is #39;The Beginning of Infinity: Education and the Future #39; New advances and cutting-edge discoveries in the fields of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, genetics, quantum computing, nanotechnology, and cosmology are dramatically changing how we perceive the world. If we wish to prepare students for a radically different future, the traditional methods of education cannot continue. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
